Synopsis of Karthik Calling Karthik:
Karthik Calling Karthik movie revolves around Karthik’s (Farhan Akhtar) character that is an introvert by nature and shy by choice. Karthik has lack of confidence issues and he is miserable at his average job.
Kartik is treated by his boss just like dirt. Shonali (Dipika Padukone) is his colleague. He loves her secretly. Karthik knows and accepts that he is a loser.
There is everything simple in Karthik’s life and he believes that his life can’t get any worse. But suddenly one night, the phone rings and Karthik speaks to someone who also clams to be Karthik.
The man comes in Karthik’s life to change his life. At first he scared with the phone but soon he accepts the phone. Soon, the man becomes his guide, his mentor, friend and guardian. Now, Karthik’s life changes in ways that he hadn’t imagined ever.
In the director notes of Karthik Calling Karthik movie’s official website Vijay Lalwani writes, “Not too long ago a troubled young man sat in a restaurant. Worries about his personal life, relationships bosses at work, career shifts and moving homes, cluttered his mind. Tired of wrestling between choices he said, “Gosh, why can’t I get a call every morning from someone who knows what’s right for me and tells me exactly what to do” and there the idea for Karthik Calling Karthik was born.” It means idea of Karthik Calling Karthik movie comes in Lalwani’s mind from his real life.
Karthik Calling Karthik is based on Karthik who is leading character of the film. The movie revolves around Karthik’s character just like Rizwan Khan of My Name Is Khan Movie. The movie introduces Karthik’s looser point but along with it there is a great love story also.
